Mind Your Mom!
Just about every May, when I sit down to write the Homeward Bound, I write about Mother’s Day. And why not? It’s a very special day for very special people.
My mom used to tell me repeatedly to do this and do that, not do this and not do that. While all that is very valuable advice, looking back on it all these years later, I can say she was a very wise woman. Time has a way of showing us that, in fact, every caring mother is a wise woman. It just makes sense to carve out a special day each year to dedicate and acknowledge mothers around the country. So here's to all the moms out there, no matter what shape your life has taken: Happy Mother’s Day!
Unfortunately, my mother is no longer with us. While that’s a sad thing to reflect on during this time of year, I’m equally sure someone is reading this and can relate. For all those whose mothers are gone, may you find peace in the memories of their existence.
There are some who never knew their mothers for one reason or another, but someone definitely stepped in and fulfilled that role and they also deserve to be wished a Happy Mother’s Day! Regardless of the circumstance, mothers are more special in ways that can be counted.
Especially the mothers of hospitalized kids.
My team and I are on a mission to raise $30,000 for Texas Children’s Hospital. We work towards this mission by donating a portion of our income from home sales. Right now, children from all walks of life are fighting everything from the stomach flu to cancer, and they need our help! Texas Children's, a not-for-profit health care organization, has been recently recognized as the nation’s leader in life-saving pediatric organ transplants. For moms with hospitalized children, the last thing they’re probably thinking about is Mother’s Day. They’re out there being the mom their children need. God bless them for it.
Your referrals help the kids…
If you know someone that's considering buying or selling a home, please refer them to our team. Not only will they benefit from our award-winning services, but a very worthy cause will benefit as well.
Just give me a call or pass along my number. Thank you for your consideration!
A core value at our company is “the size of the hole you give through is directly proportional to the size of the hole you receive through.”
As part of our Go Serve Big mission, we proudly give back to those in our community who need it most. In this case, the amazing kids with amazing moms at Texas Children's Hospital.
My mom told me to give my all, no matter what I was doing. Many years later, I get to repeat that here. I will do all I can to help you and your referrals, and in turn, help Texas Children's Hospital to continue their exceptional care while keeping the costs to those families to a minimum.
Thank you in advance for your referrals!
Go Serve Big!!!
